In a nutshell I can best be described as very ordinary, yet always believed, that sooner or later, I would achieve extraordinary. My reality check is I’m in my fifties, bewildered as to how I got here so fast and I’m still stuck in ordinary. My challenge is to come to terms with the reality of “this life is as good as it gets.” So best I stop procrastinating and reinvent my ordinary.
Aside from the usual roles of wife, mother, sister, daughter aunt and friend not to mention hapless homemaker, I like to think of myself as an aspiring writer, enthusiastic gardener, and keen explorer of the world whenever an opportunity presents itself.
I love our natural world, and I try (but certainly should be doing more) to live lightly, preserve what I can, and support those real eco warriors out there doing what we all should be doing.
People are my thing though. I have always been fascinated and intrigued by people. This is what led me into a helping profession for awhile. I’m never bored when people are around to be observed. They inspire, frustrate, horrify and astound me but most of all they provide rich and fertile ground for the stories I try and plan to write.
